Google Wave merupakan platform komunikasi via internet terbaru yang sedang dikembangkan oleh Google. Di balik Wave adalah Rasmussen bersaudara, dua orang yang bertanggungjawab atas Google Maps.

Wave pertama kali diperkenalkan pada konferensi Google I/O di San Francisco pada 27 Mei 2009. Wave disebut-sebut sebagai 'wujud e-mail jika diciptakan pada masa kini'.

Secara sekilas, Google Wave dapat disebut sebagai 'pernikahan' antara e-mail dan instant messaging. Namun lebih dari itu, Wave juga memungkinkan kolaborasi secara langsung terhadap dokumen online layaknya wiki.

Berikut beberapa hal yang didemonstrasikan Lars dan Jens Rasmussen serta tim Google Wave lainnya:

* Mengirimkan pesan secara bergantian layaknya e-mail.

Seperti e-mail, Google Wave pun bisa diadopsi oleh sebuah perusahaan menjadi sebuah platform komunikasi di perusahaan tersebut. Dan sama seperti e-mail, Google Wave bisa dijalankan dari server perusahaan tersebut tanpa tergantung ke pihak lain -- termasuk Google.

Microsoft Office 2010 (previously referred to by its codename Office 14) is the next version of the Microsoft Office generation. It entered development phase during 2006 while Microsoft was finishing work on Microsoft Office 12, which was released as the 2007 Microsoft Office System.

The funniest thing about Microsoft Office is they didn’t have version number 13 which is skipped just because an unlucky number of 13.

Office 2010 now is in testing stage for alpha version since January 2009 and will begin rolling out to a wider cross-section of testers starting this July, according to Microsoft officials. Microsoft has said there will be a broad public beta of Office 2010 some time between the tech preview and release to manufacturing. RTM is slated for the first half of 2010. Microsoft has not disclosed how many betas are planned or the timing of the beta/betas for Office 2010.

Gumblar 'meracuni' hasil pencarian di Google

Serangan program jahat dengan julukan Gumblar makin serius. Pengguna internet diharap makin waspada dengan serangan yang 'meracuni' hasil pencarian di Google itu.

Peringatan akan makin ganasnya Gumblar disampaikan oleh The SANS Institute's Internet Storm Centre (ISC), sebuah lembaga yang memantau pertumbuhan serangan di internet.

Pada awal kehadirannya, Gumblar menggunakan situs Gumblar.cn untuk menyebarkan program jahat ke pengguna internet, oleh karena itu serangan ini dinamai Gumblar. Kini, sumber program jahat itu beralih ke Martuz.cn.

Penyebaran Gumblar berawal dari infeksi di berbagai situs, termasuk beberapa situs populer. Setelah menginfeksi situs tersebut, Gumblar akan menginfeksi pengunjung situs dengan program jahat Trojan Downloader.

Tak cukup sampai di situ, program jahat dalam komputer korban akan mengunduh program jahat lain dan 'meracuni' hasil pencarian di Google. Saat korban Gumblar melakukan pencarian di Google, maka hasilnya bisa jadi akan dibajak agar mengarah ke situs yang berbahaya.

Perusahaan keamanan ScanSafe melaporkan bahwa Gumblar meraih pertumbuhan hingga 246 persen dalam satu pekan terakhir. Sedangkan Sophos, perusahaan keamanan lainnya, menyebut Gumblar alias JSRedir-R sebagai program jahat berbasis web terbesar dalam sejarah.

Gumblar juga diketahui sedang menyusun sebuah jaringan komputer yang telah terinfeksi (botnet) yang bisa dimanfaatkan untuk keperluan jahat seperti penyebaran spam, virus atau serangan cyber.
